Sheer Pantyhose, in plain words

Sheer is where MANZI began, and it is still the biggest bench in the house. Most pairs here sit between 15 and 20 denier: enough to even out the skin tone under a hem, thin enough to look like nothing at all. The waist is the second choice. A control top holds the stomach flat with a knitted panel. A sheer-to-waist pair has no panel and no visible line under a fitted dress. A high waist sits above the navel and stays there when you sit.

What a sheer pair does not do is survive a ring or a rough heel. At 15 denier the yarn is finer than a hair, and that is the point of it. The people behind MANZI answer that with the pack: six pairs of the same shade, so the one that runs at lunchtime has a twin in the drawer.

Sizes S, M, L, XL and the doubled ranges S/M and L/XL follow the height-and-weight chart on the pack. Between two sizes, take the larger one: a sheer pair stretched too far turns lighter and runs sooner.
